Title: The Library Factbook
Narrative: The Public Library Factbook is a comprehensive resource for small and rural libraries, offering a consistent template to document essential information. Given the high turnover in library leadership, this tool is invaluable for succession planning and emergency preparedness. The Library Factbook helps libraries inventory key assets and protocols, ensuring continuity of operations in unforeseen circumstances. As one library noted, "We used the Factbook during our staff training and it was a valuable resource for both new and experienced staff." To promote accessibility and usability, staff distributed 50 physical copies and made digital versions available for download.
Intent: Improve the library workforce.
