Title: Administer and convene Library Council of Washington
Narrative: The project manager works with the council chair to set dates and times, secure venues, create agendas, and generate minutes for the meetings. They ensure that the council complies with open meetings laws and manage payment of member travel expenses.

The LCW was mostly on hiatus during the pandemic, and this reporting period saw a concerted effort to revive and revitalize it. The addition of five new members and regular scheduled meetings has breathed new life into the council and attendees seem to enjoy networking and interfacing with state library staff and each other.

LCW members are important connectors between the state library and the Washington library community and provide valuable insight into the needs and priorities of Washington library staff.
Explain one or two of the most significant lessons learned for others wanting to adopt any facets of this project:
Consistency is an important factor in keeping an advisory council active and engaged. Members need to know well in advance what will be expected of them during their tenure.
