Title: Staff Training for Effective Job Performance
State Project Code: 22-LSTA-C-02
Start Date: 07/01/2022
End Date: 09/30/2023
Abstract: The Panhandle Library Access Network (PLAN) provided opportunities for continuing education and professional development for library staff and volunteers in the Florida Panhandle region and beyond. Library staff had timely access to relevant training that improved their ability to provide services to library users. The training provided by PLAN was delivered in multiple formats (online, self-paced, face-to-face, scholarships, and customized training on location at requesting libraries) and was used to offer a wide array of training opportunities. Participation in PLAN's continuing education program and its events was open to all library staff and volunteers in Florida at no charge.
State Goal: Goal 2 - Strengthen Libraries: Floridians use libraries with staff, resources and facilities that transform to meet user needs.
