Abstract: Riverside Public Library's Dia de los Ninos project included presentations, story walks, arts and music activities--including the creation of tile murals by community members that were displayed at library locations-- and STEM activities. The project supported communities in celebrating multicultural and multilingual families across the city, at all eight library locations. Community members were uplifted through the program, and children and families all experienced the beauty of reading, and the variety, value, and depth of different cultures in the city.

Project Outcomes
Project Outcomes
List any important outcomes or findings not previously reported:
3 Multicultural craft programs were hosted for a total of 3,400 participants. 8 story walks were rotated through 8 library locations, with an attendance of 600 community members. 8 community created tile murals were created and displayed at all 8 library locations with a total of 2,000 participants.
Please briefly describe the importance of these outcomes and findings for future program planning:
Many programs that were presented in the morning had lower attendance, as school was still in session, so many families could not attend. The highest attendance was 50 participants at a STEM program, and other STEM programs by the same presenter also gathered stronger crowds, which was unexpected and showed where community interest may lie in the future.
Explain one or two of the most significant lessons learned for others wanting to adopt any facets of this project:
Lessons learned include have strict deadlines for presenters to submit their paperwork (presenters will procrastinate!). And be flexible: think on your feet, be willing to change plans and adapt as necessary
Do you anticipate continuing this project after the current reporting period ends:
