Abstract: Library purchased smart TV's for meeting room, and mounting hardware. From sub-recipient: The 2 smart TVs were put in our meeting room to be used for presentations, etc. and they replaced a smaller smart TV and a whiteboard/projector. The presenters that have used the new smart TVs say that they are easier to use, and they provided a clearer, straighter picture. With the old projector sometimes, you had to adjust the picture and it still ended up crooked or slanted. One of our main accomplishments were that patrons responded to the size of the TVs: were much better than the old ones, that they could see the presentations way better than before. Also, you could easily adjust the TVs for volume control when you used the old projector you had to hook up speakers in order to hear the movies or presentations. The third-grade class and teacher has enjoyed the use of the smart tv for their lessons while they are here at the library for school until their room is ready at school. The new headphones replaced old ones that were starting to fall apart and not work.

Project Outcomes
Project Outcomes
List any important outcomes or findings not previously reported:
From sub-recipient: The Smart TVs will be used for presentations, programs, business meetings, lifelong learning classes, workshops, after school programs, etc. With these new TVs it has been easier for patrons to see and hear the presentations, videos, etc. and also easier for the presenters to use these for their presentations. With the new headphones, patrons will be able to listen to podcasts, etc. on the computers without having to worry if they will fall apart. The telescope has been used by a couple of families that have discovered the planets, moon and stars. The children's tablet has been used several times by children using the coding express train. The outcomes were exactly what we hoped for, to help our patrons see and hear the presentations better and made it easier for presenters to do their presentations. One unexpected outcome is having the 3rd grade elementary class and teacher use the meeting room and smart TV for school starting in August until their room is ready at school, since part of the roof blew off the elementary school in July.
Please briefly describe the importance of these outcomes and findings for future program planning:
From sub-recipient: It is important to know the outcomes of any project that we do. This will help with future planning by knowing what worked and what didn't work. If we need to improve in one area over another or if we need to think outside the box.
Explain one or two of the most significant lessons learned for others wanting to adopt any facets of this project:
From sub-recipient: One lesson might be you never can plan enough. We never thought or planned to be a site for a classroom for our elementary school. So even if we didn't plan to be we were able to think out of the box and work with the school to have our meeting room become a classroom for the 3rd grade.
