Abstract: From sub-recipient: The Library Improvement Grant provided our library with two metal cabinets in which we were able to place most of our STEM items, games, puzzles and other learning activities. Many of these items were provided with this year's Youth For Excellence Grant. We took much time in deciding what kind of cabinet would best fit our needs and our library space. We finally chose these cabinets not only because of the size they were or the price, but we also took into consideration that we could lock these cabinets. Not only that, but another bonus for us is that they are metal, so we can use the outside of the cabinets to place some of the magnetic items (magnetic words for forming sentences, a magnetic face activity, and the magnetic marble run for example). These cabinets make all of these learning toys easily accessible to our patrons and yet they also keep them safe when needed, behind locked doors. We are very grateful for this grant and these cabinets. Without these cabinets, we would have had to place the learning activities on valuable bookshelf space. Now we can put books on those shelves. Thank you very much!

Project Outcomes
Project Outcomes
List any important outcomes or findings not previously reported:
From sub-recipient: These cabinets made it so much easier for our patrons to access the learning activities our library owns. There have been no negative outcomes.
Please briefly describe the importance of these outcomes and findings for future program planning:
From sub-recipient: I feel it's very important for our young patrons to have access to a variety of learning toys and activities and also be able to know where they can go in our library on their own to find exactly what they are looking for. Most of the students who use these items are special needs students and familiarity and consistency are very important to these students. The cabinets help us with that outcome.
