Title: PNG Pilot Project - Instruction Activity
Narrative: Stinson Memorial Public Library District (SMPLD) implemented a series of technology-based programs for low-income youth in the library's service district. SMPLD initiated in-person opportunities for students, ages 10 to 18, to utilize technology, enhance skills, and explore concepts in a group environment. Throughout the grant period, participants were given the opportunity to nurture technology-based skills by exploring key concepts through fun and engaging activities. Activities included: Spooky Doodles (2 sessions), 3D pen engineering projects, Spiderbot robotics, Neon Sign design, Squishy Circuit engineering, soundboard circuits, Holiday Card graphic design, Winter scene graphic design, snowflake sticker graphic design, Photography 101 & 102, Programming with Scratch (4 sessions), music making, game design, movie making and animation, Coding using python (3 sessions), Button design making, LEGO Stop Motion (4 sessions), Light up flower circuits and design, LEGO engineering challenge and Tie-Dye design party.
