Narrative: During the pandemic circulation of eBooks increased statewide. Washington State Library used ARPA funds to reduce holds wait times for the WDLC consortium, which is made up of the smallest libraries in the state.

Calendar year 2020 saw a nearly 30% increase in digital book and audiobook circulations for the Anytime Library. This lending level continued to increase during 2021 and 2022.
Please briefly describe the importance of these outcomes and findings for future program planning:
Many libraries reported an increase in usage of their digital collections during the pandemic, but small libraries struggled both financially and administratively to keep pace with the demand. This project allowed WSL to assist with funding and collection management for all the WDLC libraries.
Explain one or two of the most significant lessons learned for others wanting to adopt any facets of this project:
A consortium provides collective purchasing power for small libraries in the state, and the existence of the consortium agreements and the statewide manager at WSL allowed this group to agilely purchase additional titles to meet sudden demand.
