State Project Code:
Start Date: 04/21/2020
End Date: 09/30/2021
Abstract: Utilizing IMLS funding from CARES Act, the JKPL purchased subscription for research databases--Ebscohost and Galecengage-- for the CNMI community.

The Joeten-Kiyu Public Library (JKPL) provided free public access to EBSCOhost, which is one of the nation’s leading research databases, for the entire CNMI community. Project Outcomes
Project Outcomes
List any important outcomes or findings not previously reported:
JKPL IMLS CARES Act funding was only able to afford a 1-year subscription. This was the first time JKPL purchased the research databases EBSCOhost and Galecengage for the CNMI. We were able to track 751 JKPL users from www.cnmilib.org who accessed these virtual learning resources during the pandemic.
Please briefly describe the importance of these outcomes and findings for future program planning:
These outcomes are important as they indicate that there is a need for continued access to free virtual resources and to proceed with continuing subscription.
Explain one or two of the most significant lessons learned for others wanting to adopt any facets of this project:
Tracking the number of users accessing virtual learning resources assists library management in determining sustainability of virtual resource.
