Abstract: The Hawaii State Public Library System (HSPLS) is a vital component of the educational ecosystem in Hawaii.  One of the most effective ways that we can deliver consistent opportunities statewide is to provide access to online learning tools such as Gale Courses and Language Learning programs that can be accessed from anywhere, anytime.

Activity Details
Title: Access to Learning Resources
Narrative: LSTA funding was used to provide access to Gale Courses and Mango Languages programs statewide.  Gale Courses offers a wide variety of subjects using a virtual classroom format with an instructor and a schedule of courses. For October 1, 2020-September 30, 2021 There were 1,683 Gale courses logged. Mango Languages programs offer the opportunity to learn numerous languages to aid in travel plans and/or to better understand and interact with others among Hawaii's rich cultures. From October 1, 2020-September 30, 2021 Mango Languages totaled 19,553 sessions and of those 11,270 were on a mobile device.  18,186 course uses for a total learning time logged of 250,727 minutes
