Project Outcomes
Project Outcomes
List any important outcomes or findings not previously reported:
According to survey responses, the majority of webinar attendees were able to name at least one thing he/she learned or intended to do as a result of participating in the training. One survey respondent stated: One survey respondent stated: "I plan to share the information with other support staff. I plan to evaluate myself and how I react to the stresses in my life and implement ways to destress."
Please briefly describe the importance of these outcomes and findings for future program planning:
The webinars added to the participants' knowledge and abilities to better serve their communities. This year we also tried to focus on how the pandemic has impacted library staff directly, with a compassion fatigue webinar and self-care webinar. Library staff likely visited the archived topics at point of need, so the webinars serve as an added resource for library staff seeking additional training on a specific topic. Increasing awareness about the needs of different library users will help libraries reach underserved audiences. Webinars are an effective tool to teach timely topics and the Missouri State Library is committed to providing more trainings in this format in the future.
