Abstract: A world in transformation and especially the area of education requires individuals who possess and demonstrate mastery of effective technological communication skills. For this reason, it is necessary to have the resources and the expertise of a librarian to manage these skills. The project “The school library: space to develop skills and information management of a world in transformation” provided the necessary technological resources to the student body and school community. The knowledge developed with the use of technology allowed them to discover and focus their expectations towards lifelong learning.  Through the project’s activities and workshops, students, parents and the community were able to receive training and learn about access to information and programs that facilitate knowledge and effective communication skills. The project encouraged the participation of parents in the academic process of their children. Access to technology allowed students to develop the skills required to face a world of great technological challenges.
