Activity Details
Title: Acquisitions
Narrative: Sixteen (16) online database collections were purchased by the Kentucky Department for Libraries and Archives (KDLA) for state government employee use. By helping to fund the Kentucky Virtual Library (KYVL), another 60 database collections were made available to Kentuckians. KDLA also purchased the Ancestry Library Edition for use in public libraries throughout the state. Proxy server software services for user authentication (OCLC EZProxy) were also purchased. User authentication allows State Library cardholders access to all the database collections.
Intent: Improve users’ ability to obtain and/or use information resources.
