The librarian plans on contacting local nursing homes and retirement communities in her area in hopes of creating partnerships for programs. Some ideas of programming are technology classes, film series, memory cafes, and assistive technology fairs.
Explain one or two of the most significant lessons learned for others wanting to adopt any facets of this project:
Having programs at the library that address all stages of life, from birth to end of life, make the library valuable to the whole community. Continuing education and learning new programming ideas that can be implemented at the local level, helps libraries stay relevant to their communities.
