Abstract:

The purpose of the project is to make an impact on reading motivation, increase the academic achievement of students by the use of technology and expand the services offered by the school library thus providing equal opportunity and access to information to a rural school community of 565 high school students, 48 teachers and parents.

Students select stories from the character development program and juvenile collection to: (1) transcribe on the computer with the use of WORD, (2) learn to save what is written in other formats (PDF), (3) reflect on the assigned readings while grouped in reading circles.
