Abstract:

The purpose of the project is to offer library users of the main library and six other branches located in the rural area of the municipality, the tools to access digital information resources and necessary technological equipment to meet their educational and research objectives through the acquisition of computers and other electronic equipment.

The new equipment allowed the library to offer additional activities such as job fairs and other educational events for the community.
Please briefly describe the importance of these outcomes and findings for future program planning:
The impact in education of the new technologies is essential and libraries need to improve frequently the quality of information resources available.
Explain one or two of the most significant lessons learned for others wanting to adopt any facets of this project:
Access to these resources is no longer a privilege, on the contrary, it is a necessity. The use of technology is a determining factor in the levels of efficiency and competitiveness at the educational, business and personal levels.
