State Project Code:
Start Date: 10/01/2016
End Date: 09/30/2018
Abstract: Maryland's annual state aid grant program provided every public library system in the state, in addition to the State Library Resource Center and the three regional library systems, with funding support that promoted the goals outlined in Maryland's Five-Year Plan. Funds were dedicated to supporting and expanding the library system's organizational infrastructure in various ways, including staff support, planning and evaluation, technological infrastructure and maintenance, and collection management. Additionally, state funds were given to support Maryland's Library Associate Training Institute. Funds given to the State Library Resource Center contributed to staffing support, systems maintenance, and statewide collection management, both physical and digital.
