Title: Improve the non-fiction collection at the Bloom Carroll High School library
Narrative: Grant funds were used to enhance, augment, and improve the non-fiction literature collection at the Bloom Carroll High School Library/Media Center.  This update aligns with the Common Core State Standards and English Language Arts Literacy Criteria.  With all 150 high schools seniors required to read four non-fiction books per year, this update was essential to the school.  Additionally, those students taking AP English Courses (exclusively non-fiction based) will benefit from the collection augmentations as well.
Intent: Improve library operations.

Project Outcomes
Project Outcomes
List any important outcomes or findings not previously reported:
The grant money has enabled the purchase of 278 new non-fiction books to be added to the library collection at Bloom Carroll High School (BCHS). This update and supplementation has been outstanding. As the current events of the world are constantly changing, being able to provide up to date information is essential.
Please briefly describe the importance of these outcomes and findings for future program planning:
Student reflections and observations of their appreciation of the new non-fiction collection are imperative to measuring the success of the project.
Explain one or two of the most significant lessons learned for others wanting to adopt any facets of this project:
Students are much more interested in up to date topics, therefore the addition of the new non-fiction collection has increased the usage of the library.
