Abstract: Show Me Steps to Continuing Education is a grant program for Missouri library personnel to participate in training opportunities when local funds cannot finance the entire cost.  The participant attended the Innovative Users Group 2018 Conference. The goal of attendance was for the participant to learn how to make more effective use of the integrated library system used by Rockhurst University's Greenlease Library, including honing skills and knowledge of the create lists report function to aid in making data-informed decisions, and gaining a baseline understanding of the loan rules that impact how an item circulates.

Narrative: The participant met learning objectives by attending a pre-conference on Knowledge Management Mini-Bootcamp for All Libraries and Mastering Create Lists, and conference sessions on loan rules, patron privacy, improving paging, collection development cues, report analytics and data analysis, auto renewals, data security, and resource sharing.

By attending the Innovative Users Group Conference, the participant broadened his understanding of the Sierra integrated library system and was able to connect with peers from across the world to learn ways to enhance the patron experience and improve workplace efficiencies.
Please briefly describe the importance of these outcomes and findings for future program planning:
The attendee will discuss the retention of Sierra's circulation transaction log to ensure it is consistent with patron privacy tenets. Loan rues will be tested on different patron types for quality assurance.

Conferences allow peers from many different types of institutions to convene to present issues, discuss solutions, and learn from others' collective experiences.
